Biography: 
Dr. Angela Breaker is an Assistant Professor and also serves as both the Clinical Placement Coordinator and school counseling expert for her university's counselor education program. After working in K-12 education for 17 years as an elementary school teacher and school counselor at the high school and middle school levels, she transitioned from a practicing school counselor to counselor educator. Dr. Breaker earned her PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision, as well as her master’s in School Counseling from Capella University. Her research interests include school counselor supervision and professional identity across the helping professions. She enjoys presenting on these topics and is always open to professional development opportunities. Dr. Breaker is also a co-author in the textbook, “Operationalizing Cultural Competency and Equity Work in Schools: A Practical K-12 Systems Approach” by Graham & Gay (Eds.). Outside of work, she spends most of her time traveling and being a gymnastics mom.

Position Details: 
A person elected as a vice president shall be employed as a counselor in the work setting to be represented when elected. Each school level representatives serves as spokesperson for the policies and procedures of MSCA to counselors at their particular level. This person shall also be coordinator of interest level meetings within the time allotted to MSCA and MACD conferences.
