Biography:
Dr. Desiree’ V. Moore has served as the Middle School Vice President for the Maryland School Counselor Association for 3 years and is passionate about supporting and advocating for middle school counselors across the state. She has been a school counselor for nine years, with the last four years serving students and families in Prince George's County Public Schools. Throughout her career, she has been committed to promoting equity, student success, and whole-child development by creating meaningful support that has helped every student reach their full potential. She enjoys collaborating with fellow school counselors, sharing best practices, and advocating for the important role school counselors play in student achievement and well-being. Outside of her professional responsibilities, she loves to travel, experience new cultures, and finds inspiration through new adventures so that she can bring them back to her work and leadership. Desiree’ holds a Masters in School Counseling from George Mason University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University. Her love for education runs deep and she inspires to share her knowledge to all.

Position Details:
A person elected as a vice president shall be employed as a counselor in the work setting to be represented when elected. Each school level representatives serves as spokesperson for the policies and procedures of MSCA to counselors at their particular level. This person shall also be coordinator of interest level meetings within the time allotted to MSCA and MACD conferences.
