Jude Scheidt

Elementary School Vice President

Biography:
Jude Scheidt is a National Certified Counselor™ currently serving at District Heights Elementary School. With an 18-year career in education, 11 of which have been within PGCPS, Jude initially developed a connection with students as a band and orchestra teacher. Working at Title I schools, students would often share their struggles with Jude, and she discovered a calling to formal counseling. In 2019, Jude pursued the necessary training to become a school counselor at Loyola University Maryland, graduating in 2022, and has been a school counselor for the past four years. In addition to suicide prevention, Jude is deeply passionate about mental health and restorative practices, holding a Circle Keeper certification and extensive training in restorative practices from both within and outside of Prince George's County Public Schools. 

Position Details: 
A person elected as a vice president shall be employed as a counselor in the work setting to be represented when elected. Each school level representatives serves as spokesperson for the policies and procedures of MSCA to counselors at their particular level. This person shall also be coordinator of interest level meetings within the time allotted to MSCA and MACD conferences.
